Issues
The Challenges We Face Living In California.
California is a state of staggering resources and even more staggering contradictions. We lead the nation in tax revenue and progressive mandates, yet we have a 20 billion dollar defiect. For the average citizen, the data doesn't add up. Why are we spending billions on homelessness and housing only to see tent cities expand? Why, despite record education budgets, are California’s students struggling with basic reading and math? Why do we have the highest gas prices when California could be energy independent and export our resources to other states and countries. Health costs have risen drastically because we take care of people from out of state and pay medical costs for illegal aliens and also pay for their living expenses. What can we do about the problems; stand up and fight the current one party rule and elect Mike Greer to the assembly in 2026.
Cost of Living
The high cost of living in California is unsustainable for many of our citizens. Our plan includes re-evaluating state policies related to taxes, utilities, and other essential services to reduce the financial burden on our residents.
The Problem
California's residents face an unsustainable high cost of living, impacted by steep taxes, utility costs, and lack of essential services.
The Solution
-
Service Cost Oversight: Implement measures to control costs in essential services, ensuring affordability.
-
Regulatory Relief: Decreasing regulations on small businesses and industries that "harm our economy" and increase overhead for local owners.
-
Energy and Utility Management: Working to lower energy prices and addressing high utility costs through regulatory reforms and increasing development of all the natural resources in California. Invest in nuclear power plants that provide more clean energy at lower cost and greater reliabilty.
-
Tax Policy Review: Re-evaluating state tax policies to reduce the financial burden on residents living "paycheck to paycheck."
WHAT'S WRONG WITH CALIFORNIA SCHOOLS!
STUDENTS CAN'T READ, DO MATH, OR UNDERSTAND SCIENCE, WHY NOT??
School's are falling apart, not enough qualified teachers, classroom behaviors are escalating, parent revolts because of being disenfranchised of their parental rights, unions going on strike, districts in financial trouble because of excessive spending, academic scores stagnate, and boys taking over girls sports. The lists go on and on but what can we do. It's in the hands of the voters who have voted in the current legislators who have no held the educational agencies they have created accountable for their lack luster performance over the last 15 years. There is no accountability in the California Educational System. Accountability needs to be restored with those that caused the problems voted out of office. I have a way to help our schools, our certificated, classified personnel, and administrators begin to help our students. We need to reorganize our California Department of Education.
First we need to set-up a line of Accountability from the classroom to the Superintendent of Public Instruction that the legislature has destroyed by their desire to increase donations to their campaigns with union money. Not one office in the organization ends up in the classroom, millions of dollars a month are spent on the personal from education money which should go do the districts and counties who work with students. The organization is a paper producing ineffective government maze. I haven't yet seen any of them in a classroom. There is no mention of students, superintendent, or schools, just data gathers that fill out reports. Not included in the organizational chart are CCEE, CTC, CSBE, CCHE, CSAC, CPEC, ASCCC, AND IAC. There is no line of accountability for any of these commissions except to the legislature which does not even know what the intials stand for.
Housing & Homeless
We are dedicated to tackling the housing crisis and the rising issue of homelessness. Our strategy involves assessing current spending, state and local regulations which greatly increases the costs associated with building homes. State mandates on building low income housing has caused the cost of all homes to increase in price. Home affordability is a legislative caused problem from the high energy costs, property taxes, and insurance prices because of their mismanagement and lack of common sense approaches and legislation.
The Problem
Current strategies to combat housing affordability and homelessness are falling short. The housing crisis continues to escalate, pricing out many from homeownership, while homelessness pervades our streets and communities. Despite significant financial investments, these issues persist, impacting the quality of life and the overall well-being of our residents.
The Solution
-
Enhance Affordable Housing: Encourage the development of low and moderate-income housing while simplifying zoning and building regulations dictated by local authorities not "one-size-fits-all" state mandates.
-
Revamp Homelessness Initiatives by supporting systems by prioritizing long-term solutions such as mental health services and job training.
-
Optimize Financial Resources: Conduct audits on housing and homelessness expenditures given to nonprofits, who overspend and under perform, to ensure maximum effectiveness.
-
Involve Local Communities: Work together with stakeholders to create local customized housing solutions.
-
Promote Legislative Reforms: Advocate for policy changes that tackle the underlying issues of housing and homelessness.
